After spending many years living on the Far North Coast of NSW, Matty has now relocated back to South Cronulla.
Matt has always possessed great skill and talent for short board riding, however has now taken to the skillful art of long boarding aswell. Matty has recently competed in many long boarding events, locally up and down the East Coast of Australia aswell as overseas.
Matt's passions lie within art, surf photography/documentary making and music.
These interests are reflected in the events Matthew often creates and hosts locally in Cronulla and Byron Bay. In recent times Matthew has organized surf movie premiers, music events, board swap meets, art exhibitions and is now involved in the production of El Capitan surfing boards. 2012 will see Cookie competing on the ASP Longboarding Series (LQS), surfing against some of the very best surfers from all over the world.
